TAKE ME DEEPER

Updated: Feb 10, 2022

To go to a deep place often reminds me of the depth the ocean and how powerful it’s waves can be. If you go to far into it’s depths it has the power to swallow you. The waves will take you deeper then you imagined to go. I think that’s how God’s presence is. Like an ocean. Waiting for someone to dive in , to take swim and not just remain in the shallow places. The ocean waits for those to come and see it , to lay before it but those brave ones eventually enter and swim. Some have gotten taken away but the majority come out after they are satisfied and won’t come back till they need a dose of refreshment or escape.

His presence also waits for us in that manner. Patiently waiting as millions love just to see the scenery & hundreds come together to encounter the freshness of its waters. Like many love to hear a good sound of music or a nice calm moment of relaxing worship, or even a quick devotional. But never brave enough to remain for a deeper experience. We have a lot of shallow believers. Believers that settle for a good 15 min praise. Or check list believers that do it to fulfill there own version of righteousness. But never remain to know him. We’re chasing eternity when John 17:3 states that eternal life is to Know him. Chasing but never living or living but never knowing. His waters are waiting for those that would make a choice and let the waves of his mercy and grace lead them to the unknown depths of his presence where truth is revealed and love is encountered. Where time doesn’t exist and heaven begins to meet them. Where eternity begins but never has an end. A reality we have yet to experience.

His presence awaits travelers who will allow the waves for Glory to lead them to there death. A seeker that would be drowned by him. Saturated by the revelation of I AM. Never satisfied but always swimming deeper. Many try to swim far but few get lost in the depths. Take me deeper Lord , I want to be the few. The few that never made it back because they drowned in your Glory! Fill my earth with your Glory according to Habakkuk 2:14 where the knowledge or the Yada that Experience of your Glory will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea.
